After reading many threads on this forum about how much better a rebel is with a battery grip i ordered one from 17th st photo...
It was supposed to arrive today but on checking ups tracking supposedly they left it on the porch yesterday. ( despite a sig being required ). I called 17th st who will look into it and get back to me. I also E-mail ups who inform me it was left at lot I instead of lot L and that 17th st must have labelled it wrong.
Another call to 17th st who will get back to me within the hour.
Meanwhile I wander over to lot I where a nice lady tells me she got it and took it to the office ( passing my house on the way ). so I go to the office where they tell me that they gave the parcel to the mailman ???????.
On calling the post office they tell me the mailman is not back yet so maybe he has my parcel, maybe he doesn't even though on talking to ups they are adamant usps is not supposed to handle ups stuff.

So ?

Did 17th st label it wrong and will they ever get back to me ?
Why did ups deliver to a porch when a signature was required ?
why did the people in the office give a ups parcel to usps ?
why did Chuck the mailman take it ?
Where oh where is my battery grip ?

Sounds like you are living what I went through with FedEx.

If there was supposed to be a signature at delivery.
RAISE ALL HECK!

Call UPS and demand to have the delivery charge reembursed to you.
And don't back down. You spent valuable time trying to correct THEIR mistake.

Good luck! I feel your pain.

Well, after calling back to the post office I confirmed they have my ups parcel which I can pick up tomorrow morning.
Ups and the post office were actually trying to help but I still havn't heard from 17th st photo the company that will be making money from this.
I know it is only $150 order but it tells me that I should not order from them again.
