It's kind of interesting but doesn't do much for me personally... but beauty is in the eye of the beholder! If you like it by all means explore it, the beauty of digital is that you can experiment as many times as you want for free :p

very abstract...
and as with abstract, some people like it, some people dont : )
in my eyes it just looks 'too computer generated' : ( and i cannot imagine how the orig. looks.

saying that, i am a BIG fan of editing photos, and nearly all of my pics have been thrown in to PhotoShop for some [albeit sometimes only small] alterations...

someone once said to me, when it comes to editing 'less is more'...

I actually like it, it is no longer a photo, just an image.
Not exactly "photographically correct" ;-)a
But then that is the beauty of digital, only your imagination sets the limits...

it looks nice but it's more like "photography" is not the medium. just like you took a picture, then trace it, then applied an oil pastel or colored pencil etc. yes, you are right, some people will like it, some won't. picasso's works are well praised but looking at van gogh's and works by the renaissance masters are more extraordinary (at least for me).

I think its kinda neat looking.

Playing with the pics and seeing what you can do is fun.
I know I always try sketch to see what its going to look like the thing is some always look better than others I love the embossing and the brush strokes.

it's quite beautiful

the boat seems to be tossed around in heavy waves below a wild tempest above
(after the tsunami last year anything is possible)
:(

I think it is the same picture as in your avatar
the boat seems much calmer there

the effect above shows a very dramatic scene,
the tossing boat is seen last as it appears so small
(in a storm they can be)
seems like torrential rain and massive waves are dominant
threatening around and above

one can take whatever one wants from a picture with an unusual aspect and thats just the beauty of it all.

:)
welcome to the forum

regards, Marie

In the last roughly 20 years an entirely new division in the world of visual art has been created, Digital Art. It is no less a revolution than that started 167 years ago by Daguerre. The process of creating Digital Art often has its starting point in a photograph and the debate about where the border between Photography and D.A. lies has been vigorous; but if creating D.A. brings you pleasure and satisfaction it is a valid medium for self-expression that needs no apology.
