Does anyone else like to make story cards of events and days out etc?
I find them very useful for showing things in a nutshell.
More important than the individual pictures is the story line. I often find I leave out the “Best picture” because it simply does not fit with the others in story terms.

Mostly I do them as A4 sheets, though even printed as 5x7 usually works just fine.
Although the individual pictures become quite small, they still carry the message better than an individual larger picture would.

Though a huge amount of quality and information is lost reducing them to 640x480

How do others feel about this?
here is an example as to what I mean http://xs.to …06164&f=easter-06-web.jpg (external link)

I don't tend to do this with prints, but I have started putting them on my website as you describe using CopperMine (which is rather nifty)

Here's (external link) an example.

The difference between this and the link you posted is that any small photos of interest can be expanded out by clicking on them.

We used to do them with actual prints for my son’s high school album (external link)

The example is from my pre-digital era (I began at home with the Pro1 in Set. 2004, although as a television engineer worked with CCDs from the very beginning). The story cards may easily be implemented in a web page and, as superkully did, each image or segment of it may be mapped to a hyperlink for a more detailed version of the same image.

I will give it a try in the near future.

You are always writing about new interesting ideas and I am always willing to give them a try :)

Regards
