I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. It feels constricted like Claire said. I don't like the fact that the writing on the window is half in the frame and half outside. Also, it would have worked much better, I think, if the shop window were one big pane. The frames cutting through the scene don't help, nor does the fact that the middle one is coming right out of her head. I think it might have been better as a horizontal with the woman on one side to utilize the rule of thirds; I don't think there's enough of a sense of environment around the woman. It also appears to need a slight rotation. Maybe the street wasn't level, but I would think the building would be built so that its verticals are.

I was just sharing my reactions to what I saw in the picture. As you say, these things are naturally subjective, but I thought I'd give you my opinion to do with what you will.
