Don't know about *technical* aspects, but as for appeal (at least to me), that is one beautimus sunset. Makes we want to go there!

I agree that it was an amazing sunset. It's also a well-composed picture. Strangely, it leaves me indifferent, and I can't explain why. Perhaps more detail in the land area would make it seem less like a collage of colours. I don't know. There is nonetheless something about it I find challenging. If I figure it out I'll let you know.

Thanks for the comments, the different colours are what appealed to me. It does loow awaesome printed A4 size, the colours are amazing. Just wondering about getting a print at A3 size.

MichaelP - Know what you mean. Is "different" from other sunsets i have shot and i dont quite understand why either.
Someone at work described it as little bit surreal - Picture from another planet...

I guess you took that one in February, right?
There was a day in late Feb that had the same colors.

Great shot Stooge!
Beautiful light.

And I thought I had the exclusivity of the POTN Portuguese market ;)

Cheers,

Hi Jaime,
I'm new to POTN and photography as well.
I've been on a point'nshoot camera for 3 years and finally I could afford some time and money to photog.

So, seems we're neigbours!!
Right now I'm kind of busy of my wedding arranjments, so my gf does'nt allow me any time off... you know the drill!
After that perhaps we could go out for a Lx photo session and perhaps you could teach me something because I'm really starting right now.

Bye, Luis

Luis,
Bemvindo ao Forum!

First, let me tell you that the first year of marriage is usualy the nearest thing to Heaven ...and Hell.:lol: Be brave!
If you survive this, I will be more than happy to go shoot something together. As you know we have plenty to choose from.

Don't know if you will learn anything from me, but at least we can share how we do things and have some fun.

This forum is, in my opinion, The Best.
Pekka and the mods, plus all the great talented folks that hang arround in here, have managed to make me pass by a photographer at times.
Keep comming here and posting and you will see you'll get plenty of help and feedback.

BTW, Awesome sunset!!

Stooge,
Sorry for hijacking the thread:o:mrgreen:

Cheers,
Jaime
