With that being said, i think i would like to see the horizon a little more centered. Somehere a little closer to the center of the pic that is. I also think that it looks a little green but I can't quit tell if that is the actual color of the rocks or not (it is a small pic and hard for my eyes to see well

There is nothing of interest in the sky; no clouds, colors, etc. The horizon needs to be straightened though. The picture seems flat and there is not a lot of interest looking straight on. Perhaps a different perspective: if you could shoot from a low angle and show some of the height of the rocks, or further up the beach shooting down toward the rocks in the water (showing more of the shoreline). Thanks for the insight! I will try that next week. I also think a wider lens would help. 5DMkIV

Secondly ... what do you wish the viewer to focus ... the rocks on shore or the rocks in the water ... you have to decide which is more important then bring what is important to the foreground (as a general rule) or isolate the photos focus with a shallow DOF or Lens length (either go wide and get close or go long and back up), or frame you center of focus with nearby objects ... or a combo of the above. - Unsharp At Any Speed -
