That is a beautiful plant... wildflower?? I love the two tones and the multiple layers. Did you have to use a flash to get that shot? Looks quite dark in the background.

Seems a little soft to me in the middle, but still a great shot.

thanks for that. Yes, it was growing wild in the rainforest in Trinidad...and is very large.

No flash......the sun was streaming in through the high forest canopy and lit up the flower nicely. The area in the background was quite dark and in the shadows.
