Hi everyone - this is my first post.
I took this shot of the London Eye during the summer of last year - I liked the look of the sky & the angle of the Wheel in the viewfinder. Any feedback please ? ? Many many thanks ! !

I can tell you liked the sky alright. Lots of it. Maybe a bigger version of the pic would tell me why but at this size here it looks too ordinary and undramatic to say the least. Golden hour and even half-light would've gotten a better pic perhaps. Middle of the day hardly ever makes a landscape lood good.

Thanks for your response.
I was looking for constructive criticism - perfect!

I totally accept your point about the daylight & the time of day; but I happened to be strolling over a bridge on the Thames, and took my opportunist shot - this was in no way planned, or thought out (shows, eh? LOL)

I liked the idea of having the Wheel on the right hand side of the shot, & being stood on a bridge, I couldn't physically lower the camera for less sky.

Daylight sky needs fluffy clouds -seems to be a rule from b & w days (sunset/sunrise aside).

Not to rip off your thread, but sky is problematic, 2 edged sword. Here's a sky shot I did last month. Without the clouds or with thin cloud like yours it would'nt look anywhere as attractive.
(Trivia time -I was born at the mouth of the Thames...)
