I left my 10D home on a trip to the park and took my old friend my G2. I love this camera.

Thanks for your supportive comments. My other galleries are from my 10D. It was nice to see that my G2 still measures up.

Scott,

great park - great pictures! Must have been a nice walk!

Ronald,

I also like your galleries a lot - especially the 'Clouds'!
How did you take these sundawn photos?
All my trials so far resulted in washed-out colours.

Regards,
Andy

hi
i have to work very very hard to obtain a good picture with G2 .i have take about 800 photo for the wedding of my brother and all the picture are very clear ,i have point out the weakness of g2 is white balanc when shutting indoor and focus(especialy at 7mm focal lenght) for get a good color i use manual WB, and for get the sharp picture i use a tripod and my 380 ex ,so i will keep my g2 for next two year

do the canon 10d have WB better than G2 ?

I've never had a white balance problem with my G2. I now shoot raw with both cameras and assign a white balance afterwards, though I choose a setting on the camera to match the overall shooting conditions. The G2 seems to use more in camera sharpening and gives somewhat more color right out of the camera. The 10D gives more detail.

i want to say the weakness of WB of g2 is when shooting indoor example when the subjet has excessive light by a strong neon or hallogen from camera video , we have no choice to use manual WB , even you shoot in RAW after convert to tiff the color still dissatisfied or another way set the camera to TV and upto 1/250 (flash on) , this willl avoid to capture ambiancae light but the background is too dark , if you do not beleive me try to shoot by yourself in the room has a strong neon light or hallogen even with external flash , use RAW, use a preset WB , but manual WB this will make a big different

au revoir
bonne chance

It is sometimes helpful to adjust any cast or unpleasant tones in postprocessing. In Photoshop Elements 2.0 you can remove color casts or you can adjust the hue/lightness/saturation of each color.
