Hi,

I'm a relatively new user, using a Canon EOS350D, these are some I've taken recently in Dublin and Slaley Hall Gardens near Newcastle, welcome any feedback, thanks

I think I would have liked a horizontal comp for the 2nd shot to bring more attention to the bridge. But that's just my preference. How did you feel about taking pictures of the public, did you get many funny looks?

I was in Chichester the other day and even when i didn't have the camera up to my eye people seemed very suspicious!

Ohh, that last shot is very nice indeed! I love the expressions.

The street is quite narrow where I was standing, so horizontally I was finding buildings edgeing the composition, didn't quite like it and it felt better verticaly. Shame about the sky though, I'dve liked it bluer but the day was overcast, although it did come out for around five minutes on my third shot, same day about three hours later, sun was out for oh, 5 minutes!

With the third shot again it didn't feel right horizontally, maybe with a wide wide and from up high, but on the ground. I couln't believe I managed to get the shot without any buses or cars, the roads incredibly busy and every other shot I have is filled with them.

Didn't get too many looks, with Dublin being so touristy...!!

I did have to wait an age to get the third shot without a bus or car in site, which made me quite nervous when a load of scallies came a ""bit to close!!"

Thanks

What lens are you currently using? Personally I'm after a Sigma 10-20!

I've three, lucky for me,

The 18-55 3.5/5.6 the camera came with, plus a 28-90 4-5.6 a 75 - 300 4-5.6, all Canon own.

All of these were with the 18-55, seems a fairly versatile lens.

I like nature shooting as well, and tend to end up using the 75-300 most of the time.

Trying at the moment to save up for some Cokin filters, I'm devastated at the price for the P's, perhaps I need to think about robbing a bank!
