Beautiful spring day on the shores of Lake Huron, this shot was taken in the Bayfield harbour. The docks in the harbour were empty except for these fishing boats.

Becca Lady in Red More info | Apr 22, 2006 21:14 | #2 Nice shot! I see these boats are registered at the Sault Ste. Marie, but what do they fish for in Lake Huron? I didn't know that there was any commercial fishing that happened out there. Becca

I think they catch more white fish than anything else, I am not really sure if that is a species or if any fish with white flesh qualifies. They also catch perch, which is my favorite fresh water fish, pickerel and lake trout. A lot of recreational fishers catch salmon and bass but I don't know if there is a commercial fishery for those. There is a much larger fishery on Lake Erie.
