I've been planning to do this photoshoot with a friend of mine for some time now, and the weather today was overcast and simply perfect. I don't normally shoot cars, so this was a 'first time' thing, however I think the shoot went very well. A few of his friends showed up as well and it was a fun experience in general. The car is simply gorgeous, too. I definately w
ant to do more shoots with this vehicle in the future. The car's owner is a good friend of mine so it shouldn't be too difficult to arrange for future shoots. Most of these were shot with my 70-200mm f/2.8L, however for the more wide-angle ones I used my kit lens.

They are all really nice. I like the 5th to the last one (with the black background) is that the road? Did you use a flash? What was your f stop?

That was actually careful photoshopping, as there was a fence there before, but I found it to be distracting. I didn't use the flash for any of these shots, and they were all shot wide open (f/2.8 for all shots except the overhead view one, which was shot with the kit lens at f/3.5)

I used layers and I carefully painted around the car, blending it into the road to give it that 'thick fog' effect. I have a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet, so that makes painting and doing photo touchups very easy for me. Once I got the base 'fog' down the way I wanted, I flattened the layers and messed with the curves a bit to get a color scheme that I liked for the image. I then created a few layers and used gradients to tint the image further. :)

Nice set of pictures. I like them all except I prefer the ones without people (or owners) in them.

Great start & nice PS on #7. Pay a little more attention to the reflections in the car next time. ;)
