Great start & nice PS on #7. Pay a little more attention to the reflections in the car next time. ;)

You mean like this? Heh, I quickly PS'ed that one, I intended to go back later and fix the reflections since they bugged me too.

I've been planning to do this photoshoot with a friend of mine for some time now, and the weather today was overcast and simply perfect. I don't normally shoot cars, so this was a 'first time' thing, however I think the shoot went very well. A few of his friends showed up as well and it was a fun experience in general. The car is simply gorgeous, too. I definately w
ant to do more shoots with this vehicle in the future. The car's owner is a good friend of mine so it shouldn't be too difficult to arrange for future shoots. Most of these were shot with my 70-200mm f/2.8L, however for the more wide-angle ones I used my kit lens.

I mentioned it in one of my earlier posts. I basically digitally painted the background to give it a foggy morning appearance. I then tweaked the image's colors using the curves tool a bit. Once that was done I used a few transparent gradient blends to tint the image further. If you look at the top of page 2 of this thread, you'll see that I then went and cleaned up the reflections a bit more to make it look better.

Very nice photos, i love the effects you used. very pro. and for the most part magazine worthy.

i do find the open sunroof and rear windows distracting though.

Man that E46 is hot  Nice shots too! I like the shot with the photoshopped background, it looks really cool! Our friend used to have an E46 M3 (it was a black color with a purple clearcoat, I dont the color name but it was nice) that I got to ride shotty in on the PIR roadcourse, that car was oh so nice on the track and hit around 130 on the straightaway :D

nice shots...nice car

how does someone so young afford a car like that?

Maybe his parents? Either that or he worked his ass off in college to get a stellar job straight out of it.

Man, I love BMWs... It's too bad there are soooo many out there.

These shots are great!
I think they would have benefitted a bit more with the use of a polarizer to bring out that deep colour. :D

I do believe his parents put a down payment on it and he works to make the monthly's for it. He's 16 and still in highschool, btw. We go to the same school (well, I used to go there. I took my proficiency exam and left)
