A grey day before the rain. A robin in the Crusgalli Hawthorne and a tree swallow (my 5000th shot on my XT) 'visiting' the bluebird house.

RebelXT with 100-400 and 1.4x TC. iso1600 1/100 f8

Nice shots, Carl. Particularly like the Robin in #1. Nice pose and color. Are you using a monopod or tripod when you're shooting way down at 1/100 second?

Very nice shots, like Ron, I like the Robin capture best. That 1.4 TC doesn't degrade the picture too much, they both look very sharp.

Thanks Dennis. Do you use your TCs in combo with your 100-400 a lot?

Not so much. I would rather hand hold the lens instead of dragging a very heavy and restrictive tripod into the field.
