After seeing some of the shots on here and reading about the technique, I decided to try some near-infrared photography. This was something of a lark, so I decided to go the cheap route and use a Cokin P007 IR filter rather than the Hoya most use. Anyway, it took some experimenting, but I ended up with these two among others. I was shooting at 20 sec. @ f/11 or 30 sec. @ f/16 with ISO set at 100. As you can see, it was a little breezy, but I thought that added to all the interesting textures I was getting. The colors really vary widely according to how I process them; I used this tutorial:

as a starting place. C&C welcome.
