I was in my shed doing what guys do in sheds when out of the corner of my eye I noticed this chap moving across the rafters. It disappeared and then stuck it's head out looking at me as if to say "well here I am, take a photo". Without trying to alarm the animal I raced into the house to get my camera. To my surprise he/she was in the same positon when I returned. I was lucky that the camera was already set up with my 100-400 lens and teleconverter from the previous evening photographing a full moon.
I made one image before it took fright.
I hope you like it.

John

I'm not so sure that my 100-400mm would be what I'd grab to capture him. LOL nice shot all the same, but still ewwwww.

Thanks for the comments. The rat lived in the roof of my house for a few days before the rat bait took it's toll.

Wow, that's one scared cat!!

Good capture! Judging by the feather, I'd say a rat isn't the only creature you have living in your shed.
