I went to Sea World in Orlando and they jump on you as soon as you enter the gate...."Want a pic?......$5 dollars?!" They we're using G5's so I opened my bag and pulled out my G5 and said "Sure, if you want to use mine!?"

I've talked to a few of those photographers and they have a whole ist of have tos.

1. full length with background
2. close up portrait shot
3. the wacky/artistic shot

they use nikons (d100 i think) and they are rated by their shots. there are higher ups that rate their abilities and they get bonuses (what that might mean i don't know but i doubt its money) on "great" shots. it also matters who sells the most photos.

and 2 of the ones i talked to were art students at Central Florida university and they saw the job as a way of getting fairly good equipment and practice.

Interesting comments about the photogs being students and having their work critiqued. It looks as though the shooter in the photo has his camera cocked to a strange angle, perhaps getting his "artistic" shot for that pair.

No, they're really there to take your pic and sell you a shot or two later when you leave. And they don't pay enough LOL The togs at the other parks, ie Seaworld and soforth work for a contractor not for Seaworld. I do believe Disney is not contracted out.
