lol.. im on my second, I like to think of the first marriage as a "Training Mission". She is totally cool with my photography and is constantly trying to encourage me to do something with it. She bought me supplies for christmas like papers and inks and such, she is allways telling me how great this looks or how much she likes that when looking at my work and she always hauls out the photoalbum of my shots when we go to family functions!

As for the 350D, A sale is pending to a member here.. if, for some reason it fails to go, I will re-post it. I hate to sell it as I really do like that camera allot but.... I might not have the chance to buy a 30D for a loooooong time again so I gotta get it now. As for her? My wife loves to point out shots but not take em.. but when she does get her hands on the camera, i have to fight her to get it back...lol

She is a feisty one Condyk, but thats why I like her. we go together quite nicley!

I think the whole wife thing is hysterical. When I announce that I'm going to buy something, my wife acts as if we won't be able to feed the children for a month because of it. Then after I get it (I ALWAYS get what I want) she asks me if I'm done yet...lol. Yeah right.

For the record, my kids eat very well and NEVER go without. That's not my style. She was ok when I suprised her with a Canon A530 for Easter, and a Panasonic mini-DV camcorder for Valentines day.

I think you won that contest my friend. She was caught out by your reply and had to think fast to get some sort of comeback line, hence the 'clean your desk'. It definitely smacks of a "boy and his little toys mentality" that many women seem to throw at their male partners. Angie has reacted the same way here when I've eyed the 1D mark IIn over my 1D, and said the same things - boys toys. It's funny, Angie doesn't nag her husband, but she nags me. Are there any anti nagging tablets that you can slip a woman to stop them from nagging you?

Wow, a penis thing. I didn't' know Pecker allowed such talk on this staid forum.

As for my wife, I'm Extreme III lucky. I can buy whatever I want, whenever I want it, as long as I can afford it. In fact, she encourages me. And she never tells me to clean my desk. I do that without being told. All right, my cleaning lady does and I take the credit for it.

That's pretty good, but leave it at what it is. Just hope once it arrives she's not like "When did you tell me about that?"

Right! Maybe I'll try this with a Shelby next to my project from last year (A tricked out Kawi 1600 MeanStreak Cruiser).

I just brace for impact.

It's that whole " men mars woman venus thing " my latest girlfriend/wife will never understand why i need the latest lens, processor, drill, tv etc and I will never understand why she needs 30 pairs of shoes for one pair of feet or 30-50 tops when i can make a favorite shirt last years.
But if you can get a partner that will at least tolerate it you're doing o.k.

Well, that's great then!!! Humour and fun is great in a relationship, it helps avoid those awkward fighting moments!

In your case, it's techncially called "Penis Envy".

When related to photography the technical term is "Look at my big photo unit"
