leucanthemum's are commonly known to be "daisies" to people...

as are echinacea, rudbeckia, etc.... all "daisies"

perhaps i should have titled the thread something more specific
so it would be easier to understand
didnt think many people would know what leucanthemum's are
hopefully im wrong
and ya, they are part of the genus Chrysanthemum
this particular variety of leucanthemum is annual in zone 6 where I live
and is sold in flats.

even on dictionary.com the first entry for "DAISY" is

Any of several plants of the composite family, especially a widely naturalized Eurasian plant (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum) having flower heads with a yellow center and white rays.

I like it a lot. Simple is good. What would happen if you whitened the focal flower while darkening the bright sunlit flowers in the background.
