I have spent the last couple of weeks processing all of the great information and inspiration that I received at the DWF convention in Vegas. At the start of each session, all of the amazing speakers there had these incredible slideshows set to music that showcased their work.

I was inspired to try someting similar. Seeing Tim's excellent show spurred me on even more.

Last year was my first year as a wedding photographer, and I was blessed to get 27 beautiful couples to take a chance on me. This year I'm fully booked again, and am trying to take my presentation to the next level for prospects that are beginning to inquire about next year (if I look more expensive people will be willing to pay more.) I'm in the process of building a new website, creating new marketing materials, and developing a slideshow that prospective clients will see as soon as they walk through the door (on an HDTV). My goal is that they want to book me by the end of the slideshow.

So here's the show...Please help me make it better:

Congratulations - you did a great job. You have a gift for taking photos that have "memories attached to them". So many canned and snaps arejust pictures. You seem to be able to be at the right spot at the right time.

Jamie, that's a great show, and you're a fantastic photographer. This show will get you many, many customers.

Would you like to share some of the thoughts and motivations from the DWF that inspired you to make this show?

Eric - I'll check it out. I'm just learning the software, and there's a ton of stuff I'm just finding out about. Definitely appreciate the feedback!

Jubilee & Phil - Thank you.

Tim - High praise indeed. Tough to nail down inspiration. It really came from 600 people with the same passion as me converging in one place, and soaking in the likes of Jerry Ghionis, and Yervant, and Bambi Cantrell, and John Michael Cooper (altf). I've never felt that overflowing with inspiration in my life. Personally, the biggest thing that I came away with is that I have a pretty good product, now I have to package it and sell it appropriately. I was the cheapest guy in my region when I created all of the images in my slideshow, this year I'm still in the lower-mid range. As I move towards doing this full time, I need to get my prices firmly into the middle to upper middle range. I was encouraged at the convention that I am almost good enough to be there, now I need to package everything to look like I belong there. The slideshow is a first step, I'm adding better albums, and a new website...now let's see if I can get some '07 clients with decent budgets!

Jamie, I'll say it again. You have an amazing talent.

Have you looked at ProShow Producer? Way better than Gold.

stunning pictures, excellent song. But your show could use a little oomph. If you make good use of the movement that proshow offers. You can pan or rotate by just a tiny tiny amount and it would add volumes to your work. I will have a show up at the end of the week and you can see what I mean.

Jamie, I was at the same show. You're right, it was amazing and truly inspiring. Jerry's work was so intense and I left Vegas really pumped up and ready to shoot. Our next wedding was probably the best work I've done so far as well. I really need to get a show done like this. I purchased the software and have created some dvd's for clients but nothing for myself. Tim and yourself are great to have around here as well....

Hey guys, i search from google and found a very wonderful software dvd slideshow builder (external link). I purchased it two days ago and felt it very good. So i want to share with you and hope you can make better slideshow.

Your talking to at least three pros here who all use ProShow and create excellent products for his/her clients. Just letting you know.... sorry if I sound rude. Long day.

Great job. You could probably add motion (zooming and unzooming or regular motion) to the slideshow, as that will only add to the wonderful pictures you have up there. Just my opionion.
