Hi, I'm a newbie here. Last Sunday I was able to go to a complimentary macro workshop presented by Canon. Several of us were given the opprotunity to shoot with the latest model cameras and lens. The photo below is shown in both cropped and uncropped. Please let me know which one you like best. This picture was taken with the 1DMarkIIN with a EOS-180mm f/3.5 macro lens. What a setup! I also have a few pics taken with the 5D (a real gem) and the 30D using other macros.

Welcome to the macro section of the forums - the whites look a bit blown out - detail in the central section of the rose is completely washed out to the point where you can't see the petals separate etc. The bee is far too tiny, but does appear to be sharp. I'd go the cropped version, mainly because it removes the distracting yellow and green flowers that are about to burst free, and also brings you a bit closer to the Bee. Out of curiosity, what was the lens combo in this shot?

I see the exposure has +0.33 dialled in - taken at f/7.1 1/500"

I am the proud owner of the Peleng 8mm Fisheye lens
