Have anyone tested this lens with a Canon 2x teleconverter?

I need a better setup than the 70-200+2x, so i'm considering a 400 f5.6L or 300 f4L is.
But it need to work ok with the 2x also, and it seems to much with 800mm f12.. 600mm f8 on a 1D mkIV would probably work better if I need it?!

Wish I just could afford the 400 f2.8...

This lens seems to work equally well with the 7D as with the 40D. AF was especially good in servo mode, even with the 1.4x attached.

I saw this nest along the freeway the other day and how can I missed this, This is my route everyday and only notice it yesterday, anyway I went to see a closer look today and too a pic and found out it is an Osprey nest. With 1.4x extender.

Just random shot....I hope I get lucky next time I visit it.
