I don't see how the background in your shots could be much smoother- they looks superb and the sharpness is great. It doesn't seem worthwhile to me right now to spend an extra 5-6K for that 2.8 aperture when I'd be shooting mostly in decent light conditions anyway. Canon 5DS-R
