Rugby, yes. Where ? I'm not sure, I never put them up anywhere.I'll get back

Thanks Kevin :)

I'm in the market for either a 300/4 or a 400/5.6 - I've shot Aussie Rules football with a 300/2.8 and loved it, want to see the isolation this lens creates at f4 at similar distances to what I shoot. 300 may not be long enough, would hope with a Canon 1.4 it is still good enough if I need it.

Other than cropped on the one, I think they are SOTC.
F4 and F4.5 300mm 7D
I'd go with the 300 2.8 though if space and $$ don't matter. I've never been terribly happy with the lens wide open.

I prefer Pachelbels lesser known work, Canon in L and the 99 cent menu club.

Thanks for digging them up Kevin, nice work, I like the 2nd shot in particular. Yeah I wish I could afford the 2.8 but I can't at this stage, so am going to make do with one of the cheaper L tele's. Thanks for the advice regarding sooting wide open too.

Cheers :)

Thank you both! Very much appreciated! (And a nice reward for a very awful day's weather!)

Your 70-200 with the 1.4tc would be pretty dam good at the 300ish range with great IS and f4,if it was me i'd get something longer that you havent covered already, does it need to be canon?

He swallowed it whole? I'm surprised.

Nice series of captures. How did you composite them?
