I got my tonsils out last Friday and have been getting cabin fever laying around the apt. Since today was the first day I felt an improvement, I thought I'd go to the zoo.

wow,these are fantastic zoo shots.it makes me want the 100-400 L IS real bad.(like i wasnt before)was that the lens you used for these shots

Thanks! Yep it was the 100-400L. Most of them I had the Kenko 1.4x TC on there too.

thanks for the info volleybrad. i was going to settle for the new 70-300 IS. not now.im saving up the difference for the 100-400IS that is all there is to it. these are the best zoo shots i can ever remember seeing on here

Wow. Which lens did you use? Thost close ups are amazing. I love the definition in the fur in the last 3. I also love the bokeh in the butterfly picture. NIce captures.

hahaha! thanks! I secretly made it my mission to disprove the popular myth that tonsils are necessary for good photography. :)

Thanks. :) I used the 100-400L. It was my first real test of it since I got it. I also had the Kenko 1.4x TC on most of the day (except in the butterfly exhibit and aviary)
