More info | A neat trick I leaned on this forum is to connect the monopod (without head, they have two screw sizes) directly to the lens ring, but keep the ring loose so you can spin it for portrait vs landscape. I usually keep the head on, because I like to brace the pod against something if I can and make adjustments with the head. After years of using tripods, I use my monopod 99% of the time. Its great, I think you'll love it. ~ Jeff
