Nice looking Sheltie, with good ears too! He looks like a twin to ours...they are great pets.

they sure are - we have three at the moment - Mo is the senior member of the team. She was named by my son when we got her, and he refused to consider the gender difficulties <g>

We only have one, Coco and he's 13 and really starting to slow down. The sables all look similar, but the resemblance between Coco and Mo is quite amazing...when I get home from the office I'll try to find a similar pose to show you.

Mo is just gorgeous! Treasure her (as I am sure you do).

My almost 17yr old Sheltie got her wings only a few weeks ago :( and I miss her dreadfully.

Life without a Sheltie just isn't the same.

I love Mo's colour and her coat looks so thick!

thanks, Cordelia.
So sorry to hear of your loss - but seventeen years is a good life. We lost our bi-black last year, to kidney failure, and he was only six. It's never easy.

Hi Nancy,
As promised here is Coco (about six months ago) and as you will see they arent quite as much alike as I thought.....perhaps I should have said that Mo looks exactly what I remember Coco looking like a few years ago:D

But he is a handsome old man, with lovely ears (for those who don't know, proper earset on shetland sheepdogs is very difficult to come by).
Thanks for posting his picture, and give him a treat from us.

aw they are both beautiful dogs.......
we always had shelties when i was a kid..... (my grandfather and uncle used to breed them)
My 1st sheltie Brandy was a Tan tricolour..... (he died at 7 :()

my favourite was Jamie (black henry of galloway, when he was entertaining at the kennel club :))...he was a black white and tan tricolour who also lived to the ripe old age of 17 (wasn't much tan in him by that age ...mostly gray :)) he was the runt of the litter but ended up sticking around the longest
Suzie was Jamies sister (Tan tri) she lived till 15
Sindy (who was the mother of brandy and the grandmother of jamie/suzie) was another long lived dog... 16 if i remember right

theres still a few shelties in our family tho .. my uncle has a cute little guy called dylan (bob for short:))
it amazes me how well shelties age

and my brother has a black n white Tri ...BIG sheltie (rough collie.... my brother always has to be different ;))
