New to photography: My Dog

New to photography. This is the first day that I am able to take my dog outside for nice weather. Tell me what you think :)
Taken with a Canon S2 IS in manual mode. i dont remember the settings.

edit: bah sorry. i am new to the forums, i have to resize the picture.
edit: ok resized and rehosted
edit: ah resized too much. hold on, i will get the hang of this.

Welcome... you may want to crop a little more proportional and still retain the main subject...

You have a nice dog:) Maybe try and get down lower so the depth of field has more effect, also dont crop so close.

edit: next time flip the ear round! hehe
