Another site I visit is having the topic "selective light" and I have one photo to submit. Which one of the two is better with the topic in mind?

I really haven't enough experience to critique, or offer suggestions about selective lighting.

From what little info I could find, selective light seems to be when light creates a contrast between the subject and the rest of the photo, thereby accentuating the subject, because the light on the subject is different than the rest of the picture?

Before I say anything to embaress myself, is this the general idea?

I am willing to both buy and sell prints to other photographers on this forum, for their personal collections only. Price pursuant to my cost of printing.

Well, the subjects are interprative so you can interpret "Selective Light" however you want.

Thanks!

Only one light. She is standing directly in front of a huge soft box. I had an assistant hold a reflector right underneath my camera and reflect light back into her body from in front of her.

Here's a link to the rest of her shots: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=156065

it must be one hell of a flash unit to power that softbox?
