There are tips and tricks and formulas for figuring out settings, but I can't really say what any of them are. I know at least half the people on this forum can help you, though! In the meantime, you could try different types of days (overcast, sunny, etc...) on Av or Tv and see what the camera sets for the opposite setting. That would help you learn approximations, I would think. For instance, in Av (Aperture Priority) mode, if you have it set to f/8 on a sunny day, and the camera chooses 1/500sec for the shutter, those settings should work well together on your camera (at that ISO setting) on similar days.
