Sorry for bringing the thread back but today I managed to capture the female to go with the male in the original post, I hope that's OK. I added the photo of the female in the first post. These guys are so skittish that I'm just a bit exited that I managed to get the pictures.

Stunning shot of the female. I have been trying to get close to these for so long time but with out luck. How do you do it? Excellent work. I envy you.

Sindri, my technique consists of putting on camo clothes, sitting down (very, very still) and then wait... and wait... and wait... until the bird swims or lands in front of me. I then move slowly, slowly when pointing the camera in the right direction so I can get at least one shot off before the bird is spooked and flies off. This style of photography is not for the impatient.
