Sorry for bringing the thread back but today I managed to capture the female to go with the male in the original post, I hope that's OK. I added the photo of the female in the first post. These guys are so skittish that I'm just a bit exited that I managed to get the pictures. :)

Sindri, my technique consists of putting on camo clothes, sitting down (very, very still) and then wait... and wait... and wait... until the bird swims or lands in front of me. I then move slowly, slowly when pointing the camera in the right direction so I can get at least one shot off before the bird is spooked and flies off. This style of photography is not for the impatient. :)
