I'll leave that to the experts. I am simply amazed I recognised 2 outta 3. My general knowledge in this area is usually summed up with the following:

1. if it is over 3' high it is probably a tree
2. under 3' high is usually a bush
3. lovely colours and often smells nice - flower

I do NOT have green thumbs :)

I think the first one is also an orchid - but can't tell you which species it is.

I agree - and there is a technical difficulty in taking them that can be demanding...

For example - I love the shape of the frangipani (my wife told me what it is called) and I love to photograph them - but getting them nice and clean and with petal separation and not blowing out the white of the petals...

Then a breath of wind kicks in...

It definately requires skill and patience. I feel for the macro guys in the same way - wow - a bug - I wanna photograph it - I will spend two hours and get a great shot - now, what the hell is it? Same for me with flowers - they present a gorgeous range of colours - but *sigh* I need a crash course in identification.

Which is also another way of saying I have looked at the flowers in your gallery and you have done a magnificent job. I really like the orange blossom one. The bee was a bonus.

Thanks... I have no idea which is the orande blossom! lol

That's part of the thing, when I take a photograph. Besides making it look good, I want to know what it is... but with soooo many species of plants... I am in a world of hurt.

Any experts out there? LMAO...

It's like taking underwater photography.. same thing... I have no idea what fish is what, nor the corals or any other life besides the obvious... even than... I have doubts
