A couple days ago I posted a message with Bird Eggs.
Well, today those eggs became baby birds.

Great series of photos!

I thought you had missed the boat on the second shot with missing the focus on the beak (maybe that was your intention) but you pulled it back on the last one :)

You should camera train them now as you've got them so young!

I was actually trying to get the one just breaking out of the egg. They are actually kind of hard to get to with the nest down in the middle of the bush they are in. I've kind of managed to clear away somewhat of a peep hole big enough for the lens to see down into.
Got to try to get them to pose after some schooling. But got to keep dad from wanting to dive bomb me also.

Oh WOW! Did anything ever come out of the burried egg? Fantastic documentation :)

Which lens did you use for these shots?

Great series! Make sure you leave them alone long enough for 'mom and dad' to come and feed them. ;-)a

All three eggs finally hatched and all three babies are doing well. Lots of fuzzy in there now. I'll post a couple shots from today in a few minutes. Stay tuned.
BTW the lens used on these is a Sigma 105 EX DG Macro.

I've been spending most of the time on the other side of the yard trying to get some shots of mom and dad but they stay so busy with the feeding chores that I can't seem to get a decent shot hand held with the Sigma 70-300 with the Tamron 1.4x TC. I got a couple today but haven't had the chance to check them out yet. If any of them are clear enough I'll post 1 or 2 of the proud parents.

One of the parents on Feeding Duty. I know it's not the best bird photo but it was hand held and I was trying to hide behind a tree then realized I had the ISO set at 1600 trying to get a faster speed. Taken with a Sigma 70-300 with a 1.4x TC.

Very nice series! :)

Can't wait to see the shots of them taking their first flight through the air (or do they usually crash dive to the ground first? )
