Rate my photo section?

I would love to see a section added where people can post their photos and viewers could rate them, maybe on a scale of 1-10. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

There are many situations where I think it would help eg sometimes you post a photo you think is great but nobody replies to. If they could quickly rate it with a hit of a button you would at least get some feedback from them. Or sometimes you want to know just how good your photo really is.

Maybe it could be incorporated into the critique section? But it may be too difficult/costly to implement, sorry if I am expecting too much.

Not withstanding the rating system that you want, is this not what critique is for. Personally, I want more info than a number from 1 to 10 on my image if I post it. It tends to be rather arbitrary and I prefer the comments over the nubmer.

I agree. There are critique and sharing sections here where you can post and often get good feedback and suggestions.

If I posted a photo and someone just said it was a 5 I gain nothing. I'd need to know why, what they did and didn't like, issues, areas to improve, etc.
