I walked the South Boulder Trail east of Boulder this morning (Apr 30, 06). The steers were everywhere. With a rare exception, man and cattle co-exist just fine here.

I really like the last one. We have some cattle here in Illinois, but we don't get backgrounds like that!

Thanks, Curtis and Kevin. Boulder leases Open Space to cattle owners. Usually, this particular field is full of cows and calves. I don't know why the cattle people decided to run steers this year. There was a serious incident a few years ago, where a lady jogger was trampled by a cow defending her calf.
