I was out shooting birds testerday in perfect conditions. The marsh was busy with many folks watching birds and several photographers shooting away mostly on sandpipers working mudflats. The photographer nearest me and I were concentrating on a pectoral sandpiper who was being cooperative. A family with two small children came along to where we were both standing. The children let out war shrieks that flushed the sandpipers. Mother and father stood stupified. The other photographer remarked " Your lucky I'm not a National Geographic photographer they carry guns and shoot idiots who destroy photos like that. Mom and dad remained blank faced and just strode off with the brood. Wished I'd said it first.
