Ok per the other thread I started, I can now import the pictures to the viewer utility. It is reading off of the camera via usb. HOWEVER, I can select the picture I want, but it is not giving me the option to convert and save.

Anybody ever go through this??

Thanks again,

Griff

EOS viewer utility... Sorry about that. It's the software that came with the 20d.

I can see the cr2 files and see the pics, but It will not allow me to click and drag, nor the convert and save. I can select or select all. If I right click on the cr2, I only get the ERASE file option..

As far as I can gather, most raw converters will not allow you to write any changes tto the CF card. Some will but you need to specify this in the preferences. Try copying the images to your HDD first then try again. Canons software is ok but I find it very limiting and if Adobe Camera Raw plugin is out of the question then you could try Raw Shooter Essentials 2006 from Pixmantec.

I understand. I'm not trying to convert the file on the CF, but rather Load them into the computer and conver and transfer..
