Hi webmonkey,
Lovely clean shots of a Sparrow Hawk I think, probably on the hunt for small birds feeding in your garden. I lost quite a few small birds round my feeders to a sparrow hawk so had to errect small dead branches artistically around the feeders to break its swoop, dosn't seem to bother me anymore. Lovely looking bird none the less.

thanx, if anyone can confirm what it is. theres one in my area that hovers so i was thinking its the kestrel but it doesnt look like that, was thinking its a Goshawk or a sparrow hawk

Wow, these shots are outstanding. Maybe the first 2 are a bit yellow but that doesn't change the fact that you took excellent pics. Congrats! :D
