'well, to tell you the truth, the shots were taken just after sundown on a western slope of a hill in Schotia, South Africa. The lions are roaming free but the visitors are in Land Rovers. We were about 15 ft from them. No fence, no glass. Our ranger knows the guys so well he can tell when to take distance. They get bored and come up with all kinds of great ideas....

If ever you get a chance to visit South Africa, get on one of these tours!
