I apologize for the picture quality...30D RAW is not compatible with CS 2 as yet so this is a test run from a JPG...nice kittens anyway!

nothing to apologize for.i love the composition and colors,and i think i even like it being just a tad dark

Thank you for the nice comment. Once CS2 gets the RAW plug-in for 30D I'll re-do this.
BTW dark it was, the lions become active at sunset. These are not really real wild ones though they eat what they kill. It is a "game reserve" where the visitors are in a gage, not the animals.

Yes, I see what you mean.
But looking at the image. It's an excellent shot. I just love the cub on it's mother's back and pulling her ear down. Took the shot at the right moment. Well done.

you are too kind...all I see is excessive contrast and ASA noise
there wasn't much light left as the sun went down and I wanted to keep the mood
anybody there using Noise Ninja?

I use Neat Image, and I also have noise ninja. On my monitor I dont see much noise, but run it through NN and I bet you will be happy.

Other then it being a tad dark (as you already addressed) I think its great!
