Took this of my son and his puppy recently. I didn't have my flash on, but I like it. What do you think?

The original was pretty washed out, and I ran it through the velvia action and got the above result. I guess I'll have to revisit the PS. Life is good. Photograph it.

I'm getting alot of color noise when I try to lighten it any more. I wasn't shooting raw because I knew I wasn't going to have time to do much processing. I'm sure regretting it now.

I was standing on a rock over a lake taking pictures of ducks when I turned around and saw them. It was a quick shot, but you're right-it wouldn't have taken any time to pop the flash up. Couldn't tell you how Focus did his, but to re-edit my version for brightness, all I did was duplicated the layer, set the blend mode to SCREEN, then erased the sky from the Screened layer only (to turn the now white sky back to blue), flattened, then added a little magenta. .

I thought the fix by focus had way too much color noise, and I couldn't figure out how to get it right. I _really_ need to work on my PS skills along with my technical shooting skills. Now that I'm out of school I hope to have more time to devote to my photography. Thanks again. Life is good. Photograph it.
