Very nice shots, Wayne. All are nice, sharp, good exposure and color___ but I really like the flight shots best, especially #4. That's a Wood Duck shot angle I've never seen! Let's face it, male Wood Ducks are spectacular just moving through the water. And even though the left wing blocks the main color in #4..... the flash of blue in the wing, the action, the sharpness, the drops of water in mid-air. I like it!! :-)

Yep the 4th is a brilliant shot as the third one too.
Coming in third very close behind is the first one, what a great close up one.

Very nice series of shots. I have never seen in-flight shots of the wood duck before. Number 4 is my favorite. Excellent shot. :-)

Best regards

Awesome shots of the woody Wayne, especially the in flight. I saw you have the same habit as i do, i.e. tilted horizon to the left. I think our left hand is heavier than our right hand.LOL!

Not fair, not fair, not fair! I can never get this close, they spook from 30 yards away as I try to sneak up on them.

Nice pics, very jealous. And the tilt thing, bet you it's astigmatism, I do it too.

Thanx for all the awesome comments everyone ,,, Ive been noticing or have had pointed out to me that I seem to tilt the frame abit ,,, pretty evident in the shot of the pair ,,, maybe I need a level attached to my camera,,, oh well ,,, I can't tell you how exciting it was to get the male inflight and how estatic I was when I got it on the monitor and it was still sharp,,,, thanx again everyone

Don't worry about the tilting...easily fixable. The male flight shot is very cool!
