A Common Teal pair, C&C wanted

This photo, a quite severe crop by the way, is a step away from the close-ups I usually strive for but something about this scene made me keep it anyway. What do you think, is this anything or am I not being objective here?

The shot shows what environment they habitat and I think to see the scene can have it's great moments.
So yours is a good photo.

I like the shot for the natural scenery, IMHO if it was more taken from the top only If would have a nice effect.
I find sometimes a shot is about the whole scene not only the subject in it.

I like the shot, in this case the background adds to the pic.

I think it works very, very well. I only wish the blade of grass in front of the female's bill wasn't there. Excellent mood achieved in this photo.

I love the birds and think the background is just fine. These are not easy ducks to catch up close. Good job!

I think it works well. The only thing that is a little distracting to me is the dark blur on the bottom middle below the hen.

The blade of grass could be cloned out with some work but the dark spot would be trickier as it should match the reflected background. I think I'll choose to live with the imperfections this time.

I really like it. The dark bg gives a flavor to the photo. I would keep it.
