A stage called Ridgeway Park.
Given half was in shade and half was in light it made for difficult pics to say the least ! Not to mention that stupid bush.. I should have fixed it before the stage started.

Shooting cars amongst trees is never easy. One of the few times I really pray for a dull day in fact. You've coped with it well. As for the bush, well I seem to spend much of my time at rallies and hillclimbs chopping down various bits of greenery.

Some nice tin running there.

I'd love to do Targa Tasmania one day. Ideally in something like a Daimler SP250 (dad had one, amongst the other Daimlers he collects and does up, and I've always had a soft spot for them).

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

my dad's boss and his son were both there, neil (dad's boss) has an AMG spnsored black 2004 Cl55 mercedes, his son (danny) has a City auto group sponsored blue WRX sti, danny finished 13th in drive travel modern, neil DNF'd due to mechanical probs as well as crashing into a ditch.

awesome photos, it's a pity about the trees though.

Nice shots. I work the Targa Newfoundland every year but it doesn't leave me with very much time to shoot the cars.

Nice pics xa-coupe! I was at the exact same stage and got so annoyed with the trees I just sat back and enjoyed the stage without a camera stuck to my face... ;)

Thanks Kelly !! I was disappointed in the lack of carnage this year.. but in one way it's good for the people driving !!
We should be back next year ... hopefully on the other side if the fence :)
If not.. about the same position, right at the end of the run off road at that corner ....so if you see a shivering mainlander with a camera glued to his face.. say hello :)

LOL Will do! Being a Qld'er who moved to Tas I can sympathise with you completely!
I was near where the little yellow Lotus lost it on the corner and hit the dirt on the side of the road, that was my excitement for the day.
All in all, totally loved what I saw at my first ever, but long anticipated Targa Tasmania.
