Used the 100-400 with 1.4x for the first time trying to get a bird in flight manually focusing. It's not easy and I dont think I will be tryng it that often.

Prefocusing on the area you think the bird will move into sometimes works...if the bird actually moves in that direction Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....
