Hey everyone,

I recently got my first L in the mail and I'm already in love with the quality. Wow, the colors/contrast completely live up to the hype. In fact, I think I need to take my XT of para 1 because it was a bit too much.

straight from the camera:
70mm 2.8 ISO100 1/2500

This lens also lives up to weight .. I'm a pretty well built guy and carrying this lens is a workout in itself :) I don't think I'll mind the weight too much for extended periods of time as long as my Rebel Xt has the battery grip on. I find the grip an absolute must for this lens because it helps balance the weight and makes carrying the lens a lot easier (I usually carry my camera like this (external link)).

here are some more sample images but don't look for quality, these were saved as normal jpeg.

It's an awesome lens. Nice shots. I got some great shots with this camera even with the 1.4tc on it. Enjoy!
