Hummingbirds like all colors, it is just that certain red tubular flowers have adapted to the hummingbirds and have more nectar than other flowers. Hummers realize this and are thus particularly attracted by the color red. But they will visit all kinds (from birds of paradise to lavender).

Looks like I will never be able to post a pic in this forum again, even though I had planned this shot I got very lucky with the timing and I will never be able to do it again. That won't stop me from trying though
