Thanks, tcaran.

The shots were taken with a 1D2, 500 f/4 + 1.4xTC and a watery eye. There were insects flying all around my head. One must have managed to find its way into the camera viewfinder eyepiece 'cuz as soon as I peered through the viewfinder, I felt one go into my eye. Good thing I were contacts. :)

I like these shots very much. Good detail. Good colour. And it's great to see both the male and female.

Wow, wonderful captures Leo. The images are well posed, the colors are great and sharp as a tack. Well done.

Wow...excellent shots, both of them. Number one is simply outstanding. Beautiful pose and composition. Very sharp with good details. Has a 3D look to it and the bokeh is wonderful. Perfect. Well done. :-)

Best regards

Sindri

Both are very nice captures. The color of the birds is spectacular. The OOF background adds more impact to these shots. Well done.

Two beautiful photographs with great color and BG. The first one in particular of the male with his color, pose, perch and neutral BG is special. Excellent!

Both are great but the male is the level of perfection. Exquisite, the complete balance.
