i never thought of using my 400 with an extender...
hmmm i have the canon 1.4 - i wonder how that would work?

Yes you can... The bad thing is the f11 really shows me the dust on my sensor! I have the canon 2x on order and I am also going to p/u the 1.4x... the quanatary lets you keep AF

Nice clear shots and I am impressed with the clarity of the 2x and 400 combo. Does this 2X allow AF with the 400 and if so..how much slower is the AF?
