This is my first post on the forum, and today is the first day I've had my dRebel XT, so these are obviously some of the first shots I've taken with it. I've never used an SLR before. C&C welcomed.

Oh, and the kittens are from a stray who was hanging out outside my job for a couple of months. I didn't want her to have the kittens outside, so I brought her home. The kittens are being adopted out, but my husband has fallen in love with mom, so I think she's staying.

These are great pictures. Maybe a bit more contrast would be great. The kittens are very cute and hope they are going to a good home.

Welcome to the forum. Good to see newly born kittens. Not bad first shots with your new SLR. I agree about the contrast though, it would bring the details out much better.

Aww, they really are just the cutest little things!

I especially like the fifth photo down. Was he/she yawning? It's the kitten behind that catches my eye though. Very vulnerable looking. I just want to hug it.

Yes, he was mid-yawn when that was taken. His siter behind him always looks a little bit concerned. She has wonderful facial expressions.

Thank you for the comments, everyone. I'll read through my manual more tonight to try and sort out how to increase the contrast in my shots.
